About Course

The Introduction to Creative Writing course introduces you to the basics of creative writing. You learn about what you need to get started off as a writer, the equipment you need, and the qualities you need to have as a writer, and grammar.


Aim: To equip you with the necessary skills to become a professional writer.

Duration: 4 Weeks.

Mode of Study: Self-paced online study.

Evaluation: There will be a self-assessment quizzes to gauge your understanding of what it means to be a creative writer and a final grammar test.

Grading: The quizzes are scored out of 100. Pass mark is 80%.

Certification: We will award you a certificate on successful completion of the course, but the certificate is not really important if you do not acquire the skills necessary to become a professional writer.

In this module, we’re going to share some tips and tricks to help you create a routine that works for you, show you how to approach your writing, and the personal qualities that you need to develop in order to be successful in your writing career/passion.

Module 3 – Developing Your Writing Style?

This module is designed to give you a brief overview of the English language and how to use grammar (punctuation and spelling). to convey your message clearly.

Module 4 – Grammar: Punctuation?

This module looks at how to punctuate your writing, and the styles to use.

Module 5 – Grammar: Spelling?

This module will look at how to get spelling right, and the rules to apply for different spellings.

Module 6 – Developing Your Writing Craft?

We are going to look at how to develop your creative writing craft for all categories of writing. We are going to explore ways in which you can hone your creative skills.
